A driver is blaming her dog for a car crash that caused a power outage in Abbotsford Friday night.
The 56 year old woman was driving down Old Clayburn when she says her dog jumped on her lamp, causing her to lose control and hit a hydro pole.
Constable Ian MacDonald with the Abbotsford police says loose dogs in a car can be very distracting for drivers.
“I know as a former dog owner that there are restraints that you can use to keep your dog in place for his or her safety as well as your own. Because the last thing that you want is for Fluffy to become a projectile that could cause injury to either yourself of Fluffy.”
Luckily in this case nobody was injured.
