The big CMA awards are coming up on Thursday night, and you know it will be a who’s who of Country music.  Although don’t be expecting a performance from Toby Keith, or even a sighting.

 

Country Weekly asked the Big Dog Daddy if he was going to attend the award show and he replied “Hell no, I ain’t showing up. I gotta go get a root canal that day, or something fun,”

 

Keith is nominated for “Music Video of the Year” for Red Solo Cup, his first nomination since 2005, despite earning a handful of platinum albums and No. 1 singles in the last seven years.

 

Out of his tally of 27 nominations, Keith has only scored two wins — including Male Vocalist of the Year in 2001 and Music Video of the Year for ‘As Good as I Once Was’ in 2005.
