Fortis to present findings on exercise

FortisBC spokesperson Michael Allison says last month’s simulated gas leak exercise conducted at the Huntingdon station went very well, allowing Fortis to work out how best to coordinate with first responders.

Allison says the main goal was to establish a unified command with the fire department.

“Where FortisBC is responsible for managing these situations on our property and inside the site, and the fire department manages everything outside the emergency site.”

Fortis will present a report on the exercise at Abbotsford Council today.
