In the last 5 years, 37,000 young workers in BC have been injured on the job, badly enough to miss time from work, and around 8,000 have been seriously injured.  WorkSafeBC has been trying to do a lot of outreach to young people to explain dangers on the job and ways to prevent injury.  Mark Johnson is from Maple Ridge…he was injured in a wood chipper accident at a sawmill in Mission when he was 21, and now has very little movement in his wrist and shoulder.  He’ll be speaking to students at Abbotsford Senior Secondary on Monday.
