Residents at the Gladys homeless camp in Abbotsford have until next Wednesday to move on.  Notices went up at the camp this week, after council adopted an updated parks bylaw.  Included in the bylaw is a section that says the area the camp is located is considered a “highway” and no camping is allowed on the right of way.  The bylaw also states that people without access to shelter can camp overnight in all city parks except for three between 7pm and 9am.  Mayor Henry Braun told us the Gladys camp will be taken down respectfully, but it’s not safe, and it does need to come down.
