Sad news. The 78-year-old female pedestrian involved in the collision on the weekend has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

Initial Police Report: On Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 1:55 pm, the Abbotsford Police Department was called to the intersection of Blue Jay Street and Maclure Road for a reported collision between a passenger car and a female on a mobility scooter.  Upon arrival, Abbotsford Police Patrol Division officers located a 78-year-old female who had been seriously injured as a result of being struck by an eastbound Ford Focus on Maclure Road.  The male driver of that vehicle remained on scene and cooperated fully with police.  The injured pedestrian was airlifted to hospital in critical condition.
