On September 8, 2017, the Canadian Country Music Association® held its annual Industry Lunch as part of the 2017 CCMA Awards Program. At TCU Place in Saskatoon, 18 winners were announced in various categories including Rogers Radio’s own Amanda Kingsland.

 

Amanda was named Music Director of the Year (Large Market) for the second consecutive year.

Peter Mckeown, National Format Director for Rogers Radio said following Amanda’s 2nd CCMA win, “The Canadian Country Music industry has confirmed what radio listeners have known for some time… Amanda knows her music!”  Mckeown added, “Amanda’s passionate commitment to Canadian talent and our radio stations is exemplary.  She is a shining example of why our stations are #1 for Country!”.

 

Amanda is the Program Director and Music Director for Country 101.1 (CKBY) in Ottawa-Smiths Falls as well as the National Music Director for the entire Rogers Country Brand, which includes COUNTRY 106.7 (Kitchener, ON), Country 93.5 (Kingston, ON), Country 104.3 (Sault Ste. Marie, ON), Country 600 (North Bay, ON), Country 93.9 (Fort McMurray, AB) and Country 107.1 (Abbotsford, BC).

 

Amanda, a native to Ottawa and the Valley, grew up listening to CKBY.  She has been with Rogers Media for 12 years.
