In a new promotional video for Ryan Gosling’s upcoming hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, the actor grapples with nervous anticipation as he approaches Chris Stapleton, the musical guest slated for his April 13 episode.

“Hey there, Mr. Stapleton, big fan,” Gosling, 43, rehearses his greeting to the esteemed country music icon while stationed outside his dressing room.
