policetape2(The Canadian Press)  Three people are dead after a driver police believe was impaired struck a group of cyclists on a highway 50 kilometres northeast of Whistler.

Pemberton RCMP say a man drove into three people cycling on Highway 99, killing two of them, along with a passenger in his own vehicle. The driver has been airlifted to hospital.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved in the crash.
